Resident of the Month
The Resident of the Month program was developed to recognize our residents who put smiles on the faces of others and who help make Wesley Gardens a little brighter each day.
The following residents were nominated for the month of March:
The following residents were nominated by Wesley Gardens staff members: 2nd floor, Mary F., 3rd floor, Louise S., 4th floor, Elizabeth B., 5th floor, Dorothy C., 6th floor, Lorene E., 7th floor, Willie B.
After careful consideration, the Resident of the Month was selected.
This month's Resident of the Month is Dorothy C.
Dorothy was born in Alabama; she has three sisters and one brother. Dorothy moved to New York with her family at the age of seven to work picking apples in Wayne County. Her favorite childhood memory from this time is taking her dogs to go fishing. Dorothy has worked at the School for the Blind in the kitchen, in addition to the Wegmans deli. She has four children, but her favorite adult memory is the birth of her fourth child, as he was her first son. Dorothy has traveled to Florida, Alabama, and to Chicago, IL.
